The producer gallery Berlin: supporting artists since 1990
The Produzentengalerie Berlin was founded in 1990 by trained artists and the gallerist Alexandrina Schmidt to help artists sell their works. Today, unknown artists and self-taught individuals also find exhibition opportunities, buyers, and support in art marketing. It is now located in Prenzlauer Berg.
The Essentials at a Glance
- The Produzentengalerie Berlin is continuously looking for new artists.
- Applications are open to everyone, with or without art studies, including self-taught individuals.
- Applications are only accepted via email to the gallery, not by post.
- The portfolio should include a cover letter, resume, concept, exhibition list, and four work samples.
The gallerist Diana Achtzig
In 2013, Diana Achtzig took over the artistic direction of the gallery. She brought a lot of experience with her: In 1990, she founded her first gallery in Amsterdam, followed by a gallery in Berlin-Mitte in 2009. Collectors from the real estate sector and the business world support the gallery and regularly purchase oil paintings, such as those by Anton Van De Amoste and Diana Achtzig.
Diana Achtzig completed an art degree at the Universität der Künste Berlin with a diploma and studied business administration at the Technische Universität Berlin. Since 2003, she has been teaching as a freelance lecturer at colleges, universities, and private schools.
