Motifs: Nudes, Lovers, and Erotic Scenes
The pictures mainly show female nudes, couples in love, and erotic scenes, often on the beach or in front of bright, colorful landscapes. The watercolors are loosely painted, with clear contours and bright colors like pink, blue, and yellow. In the oil paintings, Diana Achtzig works more expansively and powerfully, the painting "Liebespaar" for example is a homage to Pablo Picasso. Some works are very revealing, including scenes from the BDSM area.
