The history of the gallery: from the Adriatic to Berlin
The gallery was founded in 1974 by the art collector and gallerist Alessandro Abadetto in Italy. The first gallery building on the Adriatic had rooms with four-meter-high ceilings. The program was international: primarily Italian and Spanish artists showcased representational and non-representational oil paintings and sculptures in solo and group exhibitions, along with works from the USA, Great Britain, France, and Germany.
In July 2021, the gallery moved to Berlin, where Diana Achtzig took over gallery and art marketing for the first time. Since then, the program has also included figurative and informal artists from Berlin.

The concept: Art through personal development
Alessandro Abadetto wanted to create an intercultural exhibition space in Berlin that deals with themes from life. This led to the gallery's focus topics: personal development, self-realization, self-responsibility, personal growth, resilience, and the expansion of consciousness of humans and animals.
New works in oil painting and sculpture emerged from these themes. This is clearly visible with the Dutch oil painter Anton Van De Amoste and the sculptor and animal painter Diana Achtzig. Both completed their studies at the University of the Arts Berlin with a diploma. How Diana Achtzig showcased her animal portraits in the gallery can be read in the article Animal Portrait Painter Diana Achtzig in the Alessandro Abadetto Gallery.
Solo exhibition by Anton Van De Amoste in July 2021
From July 1 to 31, 2021, the gallery showcased a solo exhibition of the informal oil painter Anton Van De Amoste on its key themes. His bright, friendly canvas paintings found buyers mainly in Switzerland, the USA, France, England, and Belgium.
His world of images is pastel-colored and transparent. He applies color spots from mixed tones with a spatula and brush. This creates distant, invented underwater landscapes with almost transparent, smiling fish creatures. Anton Van De Amoste completed his diploma at the Universität der Künste Berlin in 1999 and as a master student in 2002. You can learn more about him and the exhibition in the article Informal Oil Painting by Anton Van De Amoste.
