Buying art: investment or wall decoration?

Nobody can predict whether an artwork will increase in value. That depends, among other things, on how well known the artist is, on demand and on the condition of the work, and art cannot always be sold at a fixed price. So it is best to buy a painting you like.

Tommy Chicago’s colourful acrylic paintings work well as modern wall decoration, for example in a living room, an office or a practice. If you still see art as part of your assets, read more in the article Art as strategic diversification in the investment portfolio.
